1. Who we are
Fobeventia is the data fiduciary / controller for the information collected through this website. Our contact details are in section 11.
2. Information we collect
When you submit an enquiry, request a quote or subscribe to updates, we collect the details you provide - such as your name, company, role, email, phone number, industry and the description of your requirement. We do not ask for, and this site is not intended to collect, sensitive information such as financial, health or government-ID data.
Our servers also keep technical logs (for security and troubleshooting) that may include an IP address for a limited time.
3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your enquiry details to respond to you, recommend suitable testing methods and products, prepare quotations, and provide technical support - the basis for this is taking steps at your request and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries. We send marketing updates only where you have opted in, and you can withdraw that consent at any time (section 6). Security logging rests on our legitimate interest in keeping the site safe.
4. Cookies
We use only essential cookies - a session cookie that keeps the site working and protects forms against cross-site request forgery. We do not use advertising, analytics or cross-site tracking cookies. Fonts are served from our own servers, so viewing this site does not share your details with a font provider. If our enquiry form uses reCAPTCHA to prevent spam, that is described at the point where it is used.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers who help us run this site and respond to you - our web host, our email provider (to deliver enquiry notifications), and, where a spam-prevention check is enabled, Google reCAPTCHA. We may share relevant details with the manufacturer of a product you have enquired about where this is necessary to answer a technical question or fulfil an order. These providers act on our instructions.
6. Retention
We keep enquiry and customer records for as long as needed to support the commercial relationship and to meet legal and accounting obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymised. Marketing-consent records are kept as evidence of what you agreed to; a withdrawal is recorded rather than erased.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, to delete it, and to stop sending you marketing. Where you gave consent, you can withdraw it as easily as you gave it. We will respond within the timeframe the law requires, after verifying your identity. Some records we are legally required to keep (for example for tax and accounting) cannot be deleted until that obligation lapses, and we will tell you if that applies.
8. How to make a request
The quickest way is our Manage your data page - enter your email and we send a link to confirm it is you, then act on your request. You can also write to us at akshay.c@fobeventia.com. Either way we confirm your identity before disclosing or changing anything.
9. Children
This site is intended for businesses and trade professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
