Easy Plate EC is a ready-to-use microbiological test kit designed for the detection, identification, and enumeration of E. coli and coliforms. It eliminates the need for conventional media preparation and sterilization, helping save laboratory time, effort, and space.

Easy Plate EC uses two chromogenic substrates to produce distinct colony colors. E. coli colonies appear blue-purple to navy blue, while non-E. coli coliform colonies appear pink to red-purple, making identification and enumeration easier. Results can be obtained in approximately 24 hours.

The compact film format requires approximately 1/20th the space of a traditional Petri dish, allowing more tests to be performed using available incubation space. Easy Plate EC is also designed to provide high correlation with conventional plate count agar methods.

Easy Plate EC is AOAC RI PTM, MicroVal, and NordVal certified, supporting its use for microbiological testing across a broad range of food, pet food, and environmental samples.
